Making Music Fun!

TCB Mebership InformationMembership in the Timberlane Community Band is open to all adult members of the local communities, who have had prior musical training or experience, even if it is not recent.  High school students and other students may join at the discretion of the Band Director.  Prospective band members may attend a band rehearsal to sit in or just observe.  Please let us know if you are planning on attending a rehearsal by contacting Rick at 603-898-4959.  No audition is required for membership at this time.

Rehearsals are held weekly (check Calendar) on Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Timberlane Performing Arts Center (PAC), which is part of the Timberlane Regional School complex in Plaistow, NH.

What Do We Do?

The two missions of the TCB are to support our community, and provide a musical outlet for our adult members.  We provide annual free performances to the community for Veterans’ day, Christmas, Memorial day, Independence day, various town days, and more.  We also hold a fundraising spring Pops concert each year, which funds our TCB scholarship for Timberlane High School music students, etc.

What Does it Cost?

Volunteer donations are accepted weekly in hats located on each side of the band room.  The donations help cover some of our costs. The recommended donation is two dollars and is optional.  There are no other required costs.  For summer performances, we offer a TCB green polo shirt, which can be purchased at a reasonable price.

What Else is Needed?

Aside from bringing your instrument to rehearsal, nothing else is required.  For our performances away from the PAC, we ask those who have music stands to bring them.  We provide all music through access to our digital library.  For our indoor performances, we wear white and black, which most people have.

What happens if the weather is bad for rehearsals?

If the Timberlane School district cancels school, then our rehearsals are canceled.  Members of our band provide an email address for our secure, private mailing list, so we can send out reminders and information about rehearsals and upcoming events.  Most section leaders e-mail addresses, as well as those of the Executive Board are on the website.

Those who do NOT have email can be contacted by phone or carrier pigeon as needed.
