Pops Concert 2012 set for April 19

The Timberlane Community Band will hold its 12th Annual Spring Pops Concert, Dinner, and Silent Auction on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club in Atkinson, NH.  This is an evening highlighted by live music and fine dining. Festivities kick-off at 6 p.m., when the doors open for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and silent auction item viewing, during which time the Kokopelli Flute Ensemble will entertain the arriving guests.  Some of the items up for auction include professional sports team tickets and memorabilia, restaurant and spa gift certificates, regional concert and play tickets, artwork, and handmade crafts.

The full buffet dinner begins at 7:00pm, while the Timberlane Community Band and Jazz Ensemble launch into the evening’s musical program.  This year’s Mardi Gras theme features the music and style of New Orleans Jazz and Dixieland.  The evening will also highlight several small ensembles, and include a 50/50 raffle, as well as coffee and desserts.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Timberlane Community Band Scholarship Fund, as well as support music and arts in the Timberlane Regional area.  To date, the band has provided well over $12,000 in donations for equipment and scholarship awards to the Timberlane Regional School district.  This year, we are also helping to support the Sad Cafe in Plaistow, a not-for-profit organization that has provided a drug/alcohol-free performing arts venue for youths, for many years.

The Timberlane Community Band, now in it’s 13th season, is a non-profit, adult community band under the leadership of Timberlane music director Anthony DiBartolomeo and assistant director John Mainella.  The band represents more than 50 musicians who volunteer their time and talent throughout the year, performing at numerous free concerts in Plaistow, Atkinson, Hampstead, Danville, Salem and Methuen, Mass.

Tickets are $40 per person and should be purchased before the event, by calling Rick at (603) 898-4959 or emailing us at: or send us a message on Facebook at  Dinner is included with the price of admission.  Please see the attached Pops Concert flyer for details.  Feel free to post it or distribute to others.  Thank-you.
